The visit to Croatia started off with 4 days in Dubrovnik which provided gorgeous views of the Adriatic as well as a tour of the old town city walls. Dubrovnik was not without the threat of thunderstorms but did not dampen the beauty of this historic city.
The city of Split was a tourist’s dream, with bars, restaurants, and cultural sites almost all housed under one roof. Diocletian’s palace was the umbrella for more than just what you found on the ground level, the underground cellar became a window into the roman emperor’s past.
